WHY IT MATTERS
Every project has people on the other side of it.
A new roof on a community center. A school that can finally fix its heat. A teacher who stays because her program got funded. A training program that turns into a better job.
None of it happens by accident. Somebody has to know the rules, find the money, make the case, and follow it all the way through.
When the organizations doing right by their communities win, neighborhoods get stronger, regions get stronger, and so does the country. That is the whole theory of our work.
A building needs a funding stack. A program needs a policy that protects it. A grant needs someone to keep it compliant after the check clears. We connect all of it, so you are not managing five consultants.
WHAT WE DO
Deep expertise. Real range.
01
Capital projects and community development
Community centers, school facilities, energy upgrades, athletic and civic spaces. We build the public funding stack, line up the sponsors and partners, and carry the application and reimbursement through to close-out.
02
Grants and public funding
Federal, state, and foundation strategy. Applications written and filed. Compliance, modifications, and reporting after the award. A funding portfolio, not a scramble.
03
Government relations and policy
Congress, federal agencies, the General Assembly, and City Hall. Appropriations strategy, regulatory comments, and briefings that explain what changed and what to do next.
04
Advocacy, coalitions, and communications
Hill days and Capitol days, testimony, coalition strategy, member training, and communications people actually read and act on.

You're running an organization, not a lobbying shop.
WE GET IT
-
We watch it for you and tell you what matters, in plain language, before it costs you.
-
Members, staff, agency officials, and program officers. The relationships are already there.
-
We started on the ground, so we can explain your work to a legislator and a legislator's vote to your board.
-
Not every grant is a fit. We'll tell you straight, and put the effort where it pays off.

HOW WE WORK
You get Kait. You also get a practice built to deliver.
The attention of a principal, with the capacity of a firm.
Senior on every engagement.
The person you meet is the person doing the work and walking into the meetings. No hand-offs to a junior team.
The right bench, when you need it
Trusted partners in design, research, and communications join when the project calls for them, so you never pay for capacity you don't use.
AI-ASSISTED, HUMAN-LED
A system that doesn'tmiss things
Our own AI-assisted system tracks every deadline, rule change, and reporting requirement across the portfolio. Faster turnaround and fewer surprises. People still make every call.
ABOUT KAIT
Started in the classroom. Built for the whole room.
Dr. Kait Brennan began her career teaching special education and earned her PhD at the University of Pittsburgh as a federally funded scholar. She is Policy Advisor to the Teacher Education Division of the Council for Exceptional Children, where she co-leads national advocacy on federal special education funding.
Closer to home, she works on school buildings, community centers, workforce programs, and neighborhood projects across Western Pennsylvania. Same question every time: what does this mean for the people on the other side of it, and what do we do next?
